A fall front has recently passed through South Florida, creating a shift in weather patterns as the region experiences cooler and more comfortable conditions. However, an onshore breeze this Sunday has seen temperatures rise again, proving to be a temporary respite for those favoring cooler climates.
The fall front that crossed South Florida on Friday has brought about significantly cooler weather, with Fort Lauderdale experiencing its lowest morning temperatures since late March and Miami since mid-April. However, by Sunday morning, an onshore breeze caused temperatures to rise, resulting in lows in the mid-70s. This breeze is also expected to bring more clouds throughout the day, keeping temperatures in the low 80s.
As the week progresses, temperatures are anticipated to increase slightly, reaching the mid-80s on Tuesday and Wednesday. The nights will remain warmer than average, with lows hovering in the mid-70s. The early part of the week will likely be dry, with intervals of sun and clouds.
A significant weather change is expected on Wednesday as a new cold front approaches, bringing showers and thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon and overnight. This weather shift is partly attributed to the remnants of Tropical Storm Sara. This front is expected to be the only major rain event in the coming week.
Following the passage of the front, high pressure will return along with sunshine towards the end of the week. This will usher in even cooler air, with low temperatures projected to drop into the 50s and high temperatures only reaching the 70s by Friday and Saturday.
The upcoming cold front promises to bring substantial weather changes to South Florida, highlighting a seasonal shift. While this brings cooler temperatures and some rain, it also sets the stage for pleasant weather conditions as the week concludes.
