A 32-year-old Spring Hill man was arrested on multiple felony narcotics charges Thursday after detectives from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at his residence. The raid was the culmination of an ongoing investigation into alleged drug sales in the area.

The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit served the warrant at a home located at 10399 Gifford Drive. Authorities identified the suspect as John Walter Fitzgerald IV, who investigators allege was selling illegal narcotics from the residence. Fitzgerald was taken into custody without incident during the operation.

Following a search of the home, detectives reported finding evidence that supported allegations of methamphetamine distribution. The Sheriff’s Office announced that Fitzgerald faces a series of charges, including two counts of Sale of Methamphetamine, two counts of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Sell, one count of Possession of Methamphetamine, two counts of Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device, and three counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Fitzgerald is currently being held at the Hernando County Detention Center on a total bond of $23,500.
