A gas station clerk is expected to recover after sustaining a gunshot wound during an armed robbery at a Tulare County business late Friday, according to authorities.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies were dispatched to the Traver Market on Merritt Drive around 9 p.m. following reports of a robbery. Investigators indicated that two masked men, estimated to be between 18 and 25 years old, entered the store and robbed the employee at gunpoint.

According to the deputies’ report, gunfire was exchanged as the suspects attempted to flee the premises, resulting in the clerk being struck in the arm. The victim was subsequently transported to a hospital and is expected to survive the injury.

Investigative Pursuit

Law enforcement officials are actively seeking the two suspects involved in the incident. The investigation remains ongoing as deputies work to identify the individuals responsible for the violent confrontation. The Sheriff’s Office has requested that anyone with relevant information contact them immediately.
