Panola County Sheriff Cutter Clinton announced the arrests of Matthew Edward Owens, Matthew Phillip Hunter, Brandon Lee Moreno, and Jayleen Shaquille Patterson on charges of aggravated robbery. A fifth individual, identified as Dillon Gibbs, was also apprehended during the course of the investigation on an outstanding warrant, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the scene in the 1300 block of Highway 315 at approximately 4:15 a.m. on Tuesday. Investigators reported that the victims stated the suspects were masked during the intrusion. Following the initial response, the Panola County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division quickly identified a suspect vehicle. A subsequent traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver and the recovery of physical evidence linked to the robbery.
