PALMDALE, Calif. — A fatal shooting occurred late Thursday night in the parking lot of a Palmdale hotel, prompting a homicide investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD).
Deputies from the Palmdale Station responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 11:28 p.m. at the Palms Inn & Suites, located in the 400 block of West Palmdale Boulevard. According to Lt. Daniel Vizcarra of the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau, responding officers discovered the victim in the rear parking lot, west of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway.
Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Video footage of the location showed a heavy response from emergency services, with the area cordoned off as investigators processed the site for evidence. As of Friday morning, authorities stated there was no available suspect information.
