Crowther Roofing and Cooling, based in Fort Myers, has strategically expanded its operations with a new facility in Manatee County, marking a significant growth milestone for the company.
This expansion represents a major upgrade from their previous 1-acre site in Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota County, to a sprawling 12.6-acre property. This move not only provides the company with the necessary space to increase staff and equipment but also positions it for future expansion.
Lee S. Crowther, CEO of the company, expressed enthusiasm about this development, stating, ‘We are excited to embark on this new chapter in our company’s history. Our investment in this state-of-the-art facility reflects our dedication to serving our customers with the highest quality workmanship and personalized attention.’
The former facility, a 6,000-square-foot building, was sold for $1.75 million in September. It was strategically located about nine miles from the new site. As per property records, the new installation, surpassing 26,000 square feet in area, was acquired for $12.6 million at the end of July from the Manatee County Property Appraiser.
The transition to the new facility was completed by late September. This location offers comprehensive roofing and HVAC services for both residential and commercial clients. With the additional space, Crowther Roofing has been able to streamline operations and reduce the travel time from its headquarters in Fort Myers.
Earlier this year, Crowther Roofing came under the ownership of Roofing Corp of America, an Atlanta-based firm. Despite this change in ownership, the company continues to excel, recording $176.43 million in revenue in 2023.
The strategic expansion into Manatee County reflects Crowther Roofing and Cooling’s commitment to growth and serving their customers more efficiently. With improved operational capabilities, the company is poised to better meet the needs of both residential and commercial clients.
