Luka Doncic Rises to 7th in NBA Triple-Double Rankings

Luka Doncic has further cemented his reputation in NBA history by notching his 79th career triple-double, surpassing the legendary Wilt Chamberlain and James Harden on the league’s all-time list. This latest feat places him in seventh place for the most triple-doubles recorded.

In a standout performance against the Toronto Raptors, Doncic scored 30 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and provided 11 assists, contributing significantly to the Dallas Mavericks’ 125-118 victory. This achievement marks his second consecutive triple-double and extends the Mavericks’ winning streak to seven games.

Doncic’s impressive skills were on full display as he reached his triple-double milestone on a defensive rebound with 1:58 left in the third quarter. Earlier in the game, Doncic had already made a mark with a remarkable 35-foot 3-pointer right at the second-quarter buzzer. He also executed an over-the-head pass to his teammate for a successful three-point shot.

The phenomenal guard had accumulated 15 points, eight assists, and six rebounds by halftime. Therefore, it’s no surprise that his ability to fill the stat sheet is something both fans and coach Jason Kidd have come to expect. Kidd jokingly remarked about Doncic potentially surpassing his own record of 107 triple-doubles in his career.

Coach Kidd praised Doncic’s extraordinary passing skills, especially noting his capability to deliver long assists, even from under his own basket. Kidd humorously suggested that Doncic could have been a quarterback, given his exceptional strength and accuracy when passing the basketball.

Luka Doncic’s consistent performance highlights his growing legacy in the NBA and his potential to climb even higher in the ranks of the game’s greatest players. While he might have Jason Kidd’s record in his sights, his current trajectory suggests that Doncic’s influence on the court is set to continue.
