In a distressing turn of events, Miami-Dade Police have identified the woman found deceased on the side of Interstate 95 in Northeast Miami-Dade. This discovery has prompted an extensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
The woman, identified as 21-year-old Nahomi Valentina Cittadini, was set to celebrate her 22nd birthday in a few weeks. Her body was discovered without clothing near Northwest 203rd Street on Saturday morning. Miami-Dade Police Detective Luis Sierra reported that clothing was found beside her, though it was unclear how it was removed.
Several witnesses called the authorities early that morning, reporting an argument between two individuals on the roadside. A vehicle was noted to have stopped around 6 a.m. off I-95 northbound at Ives Dairy Road, where the argument was taking place. Shortly afterward, the Florida Highway Patrol arrived at the scene to find Cittadini’s body.
Detectives were seen methodically searching the area for evidence, placing markers along the highway side, which led to temporary traffic restrictions near the northbound lanes. At this stage, the exact cause of Cittadini’s injuries remains undetermined, and the case is being treated as an ongoing homicide investigation.
Detective Sierra emphasized the complexity of the case, noting the difficulty in piecing together the events leading to Cittadini’s death. He stated, “It’s really hard to determine what caused the injuries to the deceased female.” The investigation continues as detectives strive to uncover the truth.
Authorities encourage anyone with information that might aid the investigation to reach out to Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers, emphasizing that tips can be given anonymously, and there is potential for a reward.
The unsettling death of Nahomi Valentina Cittadini has left many questions unanswered. As the police investigation continues, the hope remains that justice will be served, and clarity will be brought to this tragic situation.
