Motorcyclist Fatally Struck on SR-52

A tragic accident occurred on Sunday morning involving a motorcyclist and two vehicles at the intersection of SR-52 and Old Tampa Bay Drive.

The incident involved a 46-year-old motorcyclist from San Antonio, who was crossing SR-52 when he was struck by a car driven by an 81-year-old woman in a Hyundai Tucson. As a result of the severe impacts, the motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The elderly driver of the Hyundai Tucson and her passenger sustained minor injuries, while the driver of the tractor trailer remained unharmed. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, which resulted in a fatal outcome for the motorcyclist.
