On Tuesday, citizens of North Macedonia took to the streets in various cities, voicing their concerns over perennial air pollution that plagues the region. The demonstrations were notably significant in Skopje, where participants assembled outside the Environment Ministry. Despite being a smaller nation, North Macedonia’s air quality ranks unfavorably on a global scale, necessitating urgent policy reforms to safeguard public health. Jovanovski’s mobile app, which tracks air quality, plays a pivotal role in raising awareness and informing citizens about the severity of the situation.
