A unique case of tenant eviction has sparked outrage among the Hallandale Beach police after a man took nearly all the appliances from his rental unit, leaving only the kitchen sink behind.

Ismael Alvarado, the tenant at the center of this unusual incident, removed a wide array of household appliances, including the refrigerator, microwave, and washing machine, from his rental property located at Hallandale City Center. This action has led the police to launch a manhunt to locate and arrest him for theft.

Grace Mariot, representing the Hallandale Beach Police Department, expressed her frustration, stating, “It’s just a matter of finding them, locating them and arresting them.” She further emphasized the intolerability of such behavior, asserting, “My recommendation is for you to turn yourself in. We want to make sure our residents feel safe and we don’t tolerate this type of behavior.”

The search for Alvarado is currently active, with authorities urging him to return the appropriated items and surrender to the police. Residents are encouraged to report any information they might have regarding the incident by contacting the Hallandale Beach police at 954-457-1400.
