A tragic hit-and-run incident has led to the arrest of a 17-year-old from Spring Hill, Florida. The suspect, identified as Cameron Grosso, allegedly struck a 68-year-old man from New York who was walking on Lenox Blvd. in Hernando County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred near Ruby Falls Ct., where the victim was found before being transported to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
Cameron Grosso, the driver of the BMW involved, fled the scene of the accident. However, Florida Highway Patrol troopers later apprehended him. In addition to charges related to leaving the scene of a fatal accident, Grosso faces allegations of attaching an unassigned license plate to his vehicle.
At the time of the incident, Grosso was not alone; he had two passengers in the vehicle, aged 19 and 20. These additional occupants have not been charged or identified as accomplices in the incident.
