Starbucks has announced it will eliminate several less popular drinks from its menu starting next week.

Starbucks, the renowned coffeehouse chain, is set to make significant changes to its menu. Beginning next week, certain beverages will no longer be available as the company aims to streamline its offerings. Among the drinks being phased out are several blended Frappuccino options, such as the Espresso Frappuccino and Java Chip Frappuccino.

The decision to cut these drinks stems from a desire to simplify the menu while concentrating on popular items. Starbucks explained that the removed drinks are not only less frequently purchased but also complicated to prepare, or have overlapping ingredients with other beverages already on the menu. This streamlining effort is part of Starbucks’ strategy to reduce wait times, ensure consistent quality, and provide room for menu innovation.

Among the drinks slated for removal are the White Hot Chocolate and Royal English Breakfast Latte. New introductions like the Cortado and the upcoming Iced Cherry Chai are expected to take their place, as Starbucks continues to experiment with new flavors.

The menu changes are a part of a broader restructuring at Starbucks, which includes laying off 1,100 corporate employees worldwide. The company’s CEO, Brian Niccol, stated that these measures are intended to improve operational efficiency.

The decision to revamp the menu reflects a 30% reduction in beverages and food items by the end of the 2025 fiscal year in the U.S. Customers can expect more updates as Starbucks rolls out these changes.

Starbucks’ menu overhaul marks a shift towards more streamlined operations while making space for new beverage innovations, ensuring customers receive faster and consistent service.
