Beginning next week, certain beverages will no longer be available as the company aims to streamline its offerings. Starbucks explained that the removed drinks are not only less frequently purchased but also complicated to prepare, or have overlapping ingredients with other beverages already on the menu. Among the drinks slated for removal are the White Hot Chocolate and Royal English Breakfast Latte. New introductions like the Cortado and the upcoming Iced Cherry Chai are expected to take their place, as Starbucks continues to experiment with new flavors.
The menu changes are a part of a broader restructuring at Starbucks, which includes laying off 1,100 corporate employees worldwide. The company’s CEO, Brian Niccol, stated that these measures are intended to improve operational efficiency.
