In an unexpected move, U.S. President Donald Trump announced he intends to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday. This development comes amid Trump’s efforts to find a resolution to the ongoing war in Ukraine, a conflict that began with Russia’s invasion three years ago.
President Trump revealed the planned conversation while en route from Florida to Washington on Air Force One. During the flight, he emphasized the importance of the dialogue, stating, “We will see if we have something to announce maybe by Tuesday,” and acknowledged the substantial work done over the weekend towards this goal.
