Early Sunday morning, an accidental firearm discharge occurred in Capitol Hill, as a man inadvertently shot himself in the forearm. The incident took place shortly after midnight while the man was in the process of unloading a handgun, which unexpectedly discharged, causing the bullet to pass completely through his forearm and strike a nearby wall.
Witnesses in the vicinity promptly contacted emergency services and provided first aid by applying pressure to the man’s wound until medical personnel arrived. Fortunately, no additional injuries were reported, and at this time, no legal charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
