On Saturday, Brunswick Police detained Jeremy Saxton, 45, charging him with manslaughter, aggravated driving to endanger, aggravated criminal mischief, and criminal speed for allegedly driving over 30 mph above the speed limit during the fatal incident.
The accident took place on the morning of December 11, 2024, at the intersection of Pleasant Hill Road and Baribeau Drive in Brunswick. According to police reports, Saxton was driving westbound when Donald Harding, 75, from Yarmouth, entered the path of his vehicle. Unfortunately, Harding succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while Saxton remained unharmed.
