Herbs Workshop for Women Hosted by Living Local on April 19

An engaging workshop focused on herbs, hosted by Living Local Women, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to noon. The event will be held at the Clearbrook City Classroom, located at 200 Elm Street. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from Master Gardener Dawn of Dawn Wann’s Nursery, situated south of Bagley, who will share her expertise on a range of herbal topics.

This gathering comes at a time when the weather is finally warming, offering a perfect occasion for garden enthusiasts to delve back into their gardening activities. It’s an ideal event for those considering starting a garden for the first time after enduring the winter months.

The workshop is open to the public at no cost, thanks to support from a grant provided by the Northwest Minnesota Foundation Women’s Fund. Attendees are advised to use the east entrance of City Hall for the most direct access to the venue.

Community Impact

This herbs workshop presents a valuable opportunity for local residents to enhance their gardening skills and knowledge, particularly as the growing season approaches. By participating, community members can gain insights into sustainable gardening practices and improve their overall quality of life through self-sufficiency and healthy living.

Furthermore, the event supports community engagement by bringing individuals together in a shared learning environment. It encourages the growth of local networks and provides a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences related to gardening and sustainable living. As a free event, it is accessible to all, promoting inclusivity and community spirit.
