Two police officers were injured, and a suspect was killed during a shootout on Friday, just south of Atlanta. The incident occurred shortly before noon when Fulton County police noticed a suspicious individual and called for backup.
As an officer from the city of South Fulton arrived to assist, gunfire was exchanged. Both a Fulton County police officer and a South Fulton police officer sustained injuries, and the suspect was fatally wounded in the confrontation.
