Health Canada Issues Recall for Life Brand Melatonin and Riva Acetaminophen Due to Dosage Concerns

Canada’s federal health authority has announced a recall for two medications due to issues with incorrect dosing instructions. Health Canada has identified Life Brand Timed Release Melatonin 10mg as one of the products in question. The recall, issued on a Tuesday, highlights that the product in question is labeled with inaccurate dosing information.

The specific lot numbers affected by this recall include 4D3965YA2, 4F4495YA2, 4F44961B0, 4F44962LH, 4H49262LH, and 5C47764ES. In addition to the melatonin product, Health Canada has also issued a recall for Riva Acetaminophen 500mg, noting that the lot number D3120 might contain tablets with an incorrect dosage of 325 milligrams of the drug.

Both recalled products have been distributed across Canada. The health authority advises consumers to consult with their healthcare providers before discontinuing use of the affected products and to discuss any health concerns. Additionally, individuals are encouraged to report any side effects experienced from taking these recalled medications.
