A fire incident occurred on Taylor Road, causing significant damage to a detached garage and a nearby fence, while also partially affecting the exterior of a neighbor’s house. Units from the West Hartford Fire Department promptly responded to the scene around 10:55 a.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a fully engulfed single-car detached garage. The flames had also spread to an adjacent fence and were threatening the neighboring property.
In response, firefighters swiftly deployed hose lines to protect the exposed properties and successfully extinguished the blaze, preventing further damage. During the incident, one homeowner sustained a minor injury but declined medical assistance. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the West Hartford Fire Marshal’s office.
