A tragic incident occurred in Northwest Jacksonville, where a man was found fatally shot in the upper body shortly after 5 p.m. on Friday near New Kings Road and Soutel Drive. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for the shooter, who remains at large.
The altercation that led to the shooting is believed to have stemmed from a disagreement between the victim and the suspect earlier that night, although the exact cause of the argument remains unclear. Witnesses reported that the suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.
