Authorities in the Florida Keys are conducting an investigation following the discovery of a senior citizen’s body near a boat slip. The body of an 84-year-old man from Lansing, Michigan, was found in the waters off Sombrero Boulevard on a Friday afternoon. Deputies from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene shortly before 1:30 p.m.
At this stage, investigators have indicated that there is no evidence of foul play involved in the death. Further details are expected following the results of an autopsy, which is currently pending.
