A tragic accident occurred on Friday evening when a woman lost her life following a two-vehicle collision on State Road 16. The incident took place near the intersection with Whisper Ridge Drive, as detailed by law enforcement authorities.
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) provided details on the incident, noting that the 35-year-old woman was driving eastbound on State Road 16 at the time of the crash. The collision was caused when a 68-year-old man, driving on Whisper Ridge Drive, failed to yield her right-of-way and attempted a left turn onto State Road 16.
Subsequently, the woman’s vehicle collided with the left side of the man’s car. Following the impact, her vehicle came to a halt on the eastbound lanes of State Road 16. Meanwhile, the man involved in the collision sustained minor injuries, as reported by the FHP.
