Portland Resident Charged with Shooting and Injuring Woman in Downtown Apartment

An incident in downtown Portland led to the arrest of a man accused of shooting and injuring a woman in an apartment building. The Portland Police Department reported that 31-year-old Tanade Muse allegedly shot a 36-year-old woman at the Oak Street Lofts on a Sunday morning. Muse faces multiple charges, including reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence aggravated assault.

The injured woman was transported to Maine Medical Center, where she received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. Following the shooting, law enforcement officials apprehended Muse in less than an hour near the intersection of Clifton Street and Vannah Avenue. He is currently held without bail at the Cumberland County Jail.
