Recent scrutiny has emerged over a restaurant inspection conducted on Lovely’s in the City, as detailed through public records from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. According to these records, the establishment, identified by license number SEA2335674, was ordered to close last week. This has prompted a response from the business’s owner, who challenges the accuracy of the report.
The owner of Lovely’s in the City, Rolanda Benjamin, clarified that the Miami location referenced in the report had ceased operations years ago and is currently up for sale. She stated that she no longer conducts any business activities from that site. Benjamin emphasized her commitment to maintaining high standards and affirmed that her Miami Gardens location remains operational and adheres to all regulatory requirements.
In light of the discrepancy, inquiries have been made to the Department to verify several details, including the business license’s current status, whether the location is considered active or officially closed, and the circumstances under which an inspection was carried out if the location was indeed non-operational.
As part of the ongoing “Dirty Dining” series, there is a commitment to responsible reporting based on verified public records. Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of information shared with the public remains a priority.
