Excitement builds as SpaceX prepares for the upcoming Falcon 9 launch of the Bandwagon-3 mission, set to take off from Florida. The mission is scheduled for liftoff at 8:48 p.m. Eastern Time, with a contingency date on April 22 at 8:26 p.m. Eastern Time.
A significant feature of this launch will be the landing of the Falcon 9 first stages, approximately eight minutes post-liftoff, at SpaceX’s Landing Zones 1 and 2 located at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Residents in the counties of Brevard, Orange, Osceola, Indian River, Seminole, Volusia, Polk, St. Lucie, and Okeechobee may hear sonic booms during these landings. The auditory experience will vary based on weather and other environmental factors.
SpaceX plans to provide a live webcast of the event, starting roughly 15 minutes prior to each scheduled liftoff. The webcast can be accessed via the SpaceX website at spacex.com/launches.
Earlier this week, SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, carrying a payload of 27 Starlink satellites.
