Fort Lauderdale, FL – Detectives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit have released cellphone footage capturing a road rage incident near Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The footage is part of an ongoing investigation, and authorities are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying and locating the driver involved.

The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, near the 300 block of Terminal Drive. According to investigators, the victim was leaving the airport after picking up her daughter when the confrontation unfolded. As she attempted to switch lanes, the driver of a black Dodge Durango reportedly accelerated to block her path. Despite this, the victim managed to change lanes and ended up directly behind the Durango.

The situation escalated when the Durango’s driver abruptly braked, forcing the victim to switch lanes again. As she passed the vehicle, her daughter recorded the encounter on her cellphone. The footage reveals the Durango’s driver pointing a black handgun at them. Upon noticing the cellphone, the suspect concealed the weapon and fled toward South Federal Highway.
