Tampa, FL – Two Bradenton men, Colin Zirpoli, 44, and Tony Marsh, 25, have confessed to engaging in a drug trafficking conspiracy involving methamphetamine, according to an announcement by U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe. Both individuals have pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, facing potential sentences ranging from a minimum of 10 years to life imprisonment in federal prison. Sentencing dates have yet to be determined.

Court records reveal that the investigation began in February 2024 when Zirpoli sold methamphetamine to an undercover officer. Subsequent inquiries identified Elizabeth Poff, a co-defendant who had already pleaded guilty, as Zirpoli’s supplier. Further investigation revealed that Marsh was Poff’s source for the drug. This extensive investigation led to four additional arrests linked to the methamphetamine distribution network.

The case is being investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, and the St. Petersburg Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Samantha Newman is prosecuting the case.

This operation highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug trafficking in the region. The authorities encourage anyone with information related to drug trafficking to report it to the local authorities or the Drug Enforcement Administration.
