Baton Rouge, LA – Small Business Administration head Kelly Loeffler visited Performance Contractors in Baton Rouge on Monday to advocate for the Trump administration’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The visit aimed to engage with small business owners and underline how the proposed legislation could benefit their enterprises.

During her visit, Loeffler emphasized the significance of the bill, describing it as “the largest tax cut in American history” alongside “the largest spending cut.” A key component of the legislation is the permanent adoption of Section 199A, which allows a 23% deduction for small businesses. This deduction would benefit pass-through entities such as sole proprietors, partnerships, and S corporations. “Our small businesses need that,” Loeffler stated, highlighting the potential impact on America’s economic landscape.

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act successfully passed the House of Representatives on May 22 and is now awaiting Senate approval. President Donald Trump’s administration has been actively promoting the bill, presenting it as a crucial step to bolster small businesses across the nation.

For small business owners in Baton Rouge and beyond, the bill represents a significant opportunity to reduce tax burdens and ensure financial stability. As the Senate prepares to review the legislation, stakeholders are keenly observing the developments that could reshape the economic support for small businesses.

The community is encouraged to stay informed about the bill’s progress and its implications for local businesses. For further information or inquiries, individuals are invited to contact the Small Business Administration or their local representatives.
