The collaboration between Kolter Urban and Moss Construction marks a significant step in the development of the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Sarasota Bay, as the contractor has been officially named.

In a strategic move, Kolter Urban has appointed Moss Construction as the general contractor for the Ritz-Carlton Residences at Sarasota Bay. This decision underscores Moss Construction’s reputation for excellence, particularly in Florida, where it has executed numerous prestigious projects. The contractor’s prior successes include notable developments such as the St. Regis Resort and Residences Longboat Key and the JW Marriott Clearwater Beach.

The new condominium, initially referred to as Ritz-Carlton Residences II, will be located in The Quay and encompass 78 luxury units across Blocks 7 and 8. The development is a continuation of the successful partnership that saw the completion of the first Ritz-Carlton Residences on Block 6 in 2021. Current site preparations have progressed significantly, with foundational and utility installations nearing completion. This advancement indicates that the project is well on track for its anticipated completion in late 2026.

Architecturally crafted by SB Architects, each unit will offer between 3,500 and nearly 6,000 square feet of space. Key features include high ceilings of 12 to 13 feet in the main living areas and expansive terraces designed for panoramic views, complete with integrated outdoor grills. Such amenities aim to blend luxury with privacy, as evidenced by access-controlled elevators and dedicated service elevators for deliveries.

The selection of Moss Construction aligns with Kolter Urban’s confidence in their ability to deliver top-tier developments. Brian Van Slyke, Kolter Urban’s Regional Vice President, expressed optimism about the partnership, highlighting Moss’s extensive experience. This project is not just about creating living spaces but about enhancing the luxury experience associated with the Ritz-Carlton brand. Premier Sotheby’s International Realty is managing the sales efforts for the residences.

Looking forward, the development is part of a broader, multi-phase initiative by Kolter Urban, which includes plans to redevelop the adjacent Hyatt Regency Hotel into a mixed-use complex. This comprehensive vision speaks to a larger trend of urban development and revitalization in the Sarasota area.

With construction expected to conclude in late 2026, the Ritz-Carlton Residences at Sarasota Bay signal a new era of luxury in the region, driven by an experienced team poised to deliver an unparalleled living experience.
