Covington, KY – In a significant boost to Northern Kentucky’s entrepreneurial landscape, the historic Montgomery Ward department store in Covington is set to be transformed into SparkHaus, a new hub for entrepreneurship. Slated to open in early August at the bustling intersection of Madison Avenue and 8th Street, SparkHaus promises to serve as a dynamic resource center for entrepreneurs in the region.
The Covington Business Council is spotlighting this development at its upcoming monthly luncheon on Thursday. The event, scheduled to take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Embassy Suites River Center, will feature a panel discussion with key figures from SparkHaus. Interested attendees are required to register for the event.
SparkHaus is the result of a strategic partnership between Kenton County, the Northern Kentucky Port Authority, and Blue North. This collaboration aims to provide a comprehensive “one-stop shop” where local entrepreneurs can access the resources necessary to launch and grow their businesses, potentially leading to the next community-changing company.
At the panel discussion, Blue North’s Executive Director, Dave Knox, will lead conversations with prominent members of the SparkHaus community. They will delve into how the transformation of this iconic Covington landmark into an entrepreneurial hub will reinforce Covington’s role as a pivotal player in the Tri-State area’s innovation economy.
For those interested in attending the luncheon and learning more about the opportunities at SparkHaus, registration details can be found on the Covington Business Council’s official website.
