Kansas City, MO – Kansas City’s largest interactive educational event for entrepreneurs, Global Entrepreneurship Week Kansas City (GEWKC), is gearing up for its return this November. Scheduled from November 17 to 22, the event will be held at Union Station, offering a platform for community members to shape the programming through their submissions.
Organized by KCSourceLink, GEWKC stands out by crowd-sourcing its event sessions from the community. Individuals and organizations are encouraged to propose ideas, with those selected leading their sessions on event day. This approach ensures that the content is relevant and valuable to local entrepreneurs.
Callie England, the director of GEWKC and marketing director at KCSourceLink, emphasizes the importance of actionable value in the sessions. “As a former entrepreneur, I understand how valuable time is when you’re building something from the ground up,” she said. “That’s why every session we include in GEWKC is intentionally crafted to offer real, actionable value. In my third year leading this event, it’s been incredibly rewarding to give back by helping curate free, impactful education for our community.”
The event welcomes a diverse range of session ideas, including solo talks, expert panels, hands-on workshops, networking events, and site visits. While creativity is encouraged, priority will be given to sessions that focus on skill-building, knowledge-sharing, and providing tangible takeaways for entrepreneurs.
GEWKC has traditionally hosted high-profile events like AltCap Your Biz and LaunchKC’s grant winner reveal. Past sessions have covered topics such as marketing strategies, managing ADHD as a business owner, and intellectual property rights. England highlights that GEWKC is designed with the entrepreneur in mind, aiming to provide practical tools, honest insights, and meaningful connections for attendees.
Community members interested in shaping the conversation at GEWKC are encouraged to submit their ideas.
