San Jose, CA – San Jose Green Energy Corp, a subsidiary of Rizal Green Energy Corp (RGEC), has secured an $8.8 million loan facility to advance its solar power project. The funding, equivalent to 498 million pesos, will support the development of the San Jose Solar Power Project in Nueva Ecija, Philippines. This initiative, generating 19.6 megawatts of direct current, is a collaborative effort between Philippine-listed PetroGreen Energy Corp and Japan’s TAISE Corp.

Rizal Commercial Banking Corp is providing the term loan facility, with RCBC Trust Corp acting as the facility agent and security trustee, as indicated by a recent stock market disclosure. The project has received its final approval to connect to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines as of April, marking it as PGEC’s eighth utility-scale renewable energy plant and the third financed by RCBC. It is anticipated to produce 27 gigawatt-hours annually, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions by approximately 18,900 tons.

Meanwhile, Manila-based healthtech startup &you has garnered an undisclosed sum in its pre-seed funding round, led by New York-based venture capital firm Everywhere Ventures. The infusion of capital will be dedicated to scaling engineering capabilities, expanding domestic operations, and venturing into new markets within the year.

The platform offers online consultations with licensed physicians and FDA-compliant treatments, tailored for the region’s segmented healthcare infrastructure.
