In a bold move to strengthen its financial presence, Sarasota’s pre-professional soccer team has appointed David Herman as its first head of revenue.

David Herman brings over two decades of experience in sports brand building and fan engagement to his new role with the Sarasota Paradise, a League Two team in the United Soccer League. His mandate will include enhancing sponsorship deals and boosting ticket sales—crucial steps for elevating the team’s profile and fostering deeper ties with the community.

Previously the managing director and chief marketing officer for Austrian football club FC Pinzgau Saalfelden, Herman is celebrated for his dynamic fan engagement strategies. He expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, highlighting the unique opportunity to shape Sarasota Paradise into a community emblem. “Joining at this early stage means we have a blank canvas to create something truly memorable for Sarasota,” Herman stated.

Emphasizing the importance of community connection, Herman envisions Sarasota Paradise as “a symbol of local pride and inclusivity, where every game feels like a celebration of Sarasota itself.” His comprehensive background includes spearheading brand activations for Manchester United’s U.S. Summer Tours and playing a pivotal role in securing Austin’s Major League Soccer franchise in 2021.

Herman’s appointment is met with optimism by Sarasota Paradise CEO Marcus Walfridson, who lauds Herman’s expertise and vision. “David’s expertise, vision and commitment to our values make him the perfect choice to lead our revenue initiatives,” Walfridson commented. The CEO is confident that Herman’s leadership will not only establish a strong league presence but also create unforgettable fan experiences that resonate with Sarasota’s community.

With David Herman at the helm of revenue initiatives, Sarasota Paradise is set to become an integral part of the local sports scene, blending community pride with professional excellence.
