Apple Eyes April Release for AI in Vision Pro

Apple is preparing to integrate its AI technology, known as Apple Intelligence, into the Vision Pro headset by April, according to insights from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

In a bid to enhance its mixed reality offerings, Apple plans to update its Vision Pro headset with Apple Intelligence. This move follows the initial announcement of Apple Intelligence in June 2024, and aims to bring a suite of AI tools including Writing Tools, Genmoji, and Image Playground to the device.

The anticipated software update, visionOS 2.4, is expected to roll out to developers this week. However, it’s noteworthy that the first iteration of Apple Intelligence on the Vision Pro will not feature an upgraded version of Siri.

The absence of a Siri upgrade is reportedly due to engineering challenges and existing bugs that have delayed its broader release. This indicates Apple’s cautious approach in ensuring a seamless user experience for its mixed reality environments.

The introduction of AI tools to the Vision Pro is seen as a significant step in enhancing user interaction within its mixed reality ecosystem. By embedding advanced computational tools, Apple aims to offer users novel ways to interact with digital content.

As Apple strategizes the inclusion of its AI tools in Vision Pro, users and developers alike anticipate a transformative shift in how mixed reality experiences are crafted and consumed.
