Disney Jr. wrapped up 2024 on a high note, clinching four of the top 10 spots for the most-watched shows among preschoolers, TheWrap reveals.
In 2024, Disney Jr. captivated young audiences with popular series like “Bluey,” which took the crown as the top-ranked show for preschoolers. Not only was “Bluey” a hit on traditional TV, but it also became the most-watched streaming show of the year, racking up an astonishing 50.5 billion minutes watched in the U.S., according to Nielsen.
Meanwhile, the channel’s other successes included “Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends,” landing in third place, “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” in sixth, and “SuperKitties” rounding it out in the tenth spot. As a result, Disney Jr. maintained its status as the leading cable network for kids aged 2 to 5, marking the third consecutive year at the top of the charts.
The channel’s influence extended beyond TV screens, as Disney Jr.’s YouTube presence flourished, reaching 21 million subscribers and over 21 billion views. This impressive following outpaced both Nick Jr. and Netflix Jr. on the platform. Shows like “Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends” contributed significantly to this success with 1.8 billion views across Disney Jr. and Marvel HQ channels.
Ayo Davis, President of Disney Branded Television, expressed pride in these achievements, attributing the success to the compelling storytelling that resonates with children and families. The brand’s consistent ability to engage young audiences reflects the dedication and creativity of their teams and partners.
Additionally, “SuperKitties” emerged as a notable newcomer, complemented by a toy line that helped it close out 2024 as the top new preschool property, according to Circana figures.
Looking towards 2025, Disney confirms that a new version of “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” is in the pipeline, set to premiere soon.
Disney Jr.’s remarkable achievements in 2024 underline its influential role in children’s entertainment, setting high standards for the upcoming year.
