A new allegation has emerged involving Brian Jordan Alvarez, well-known for his role in “English Teacher.” His former collaborator, Jon Ebeling, has accused him of sexual assault, bringing past events back into the spotlight.
According to a recent report, the incident allegedly occurred over eight years ago while filming the web series “The Gay and Wondrous Life of Caleb Gallo.” Ebeling claims that during the shooting of a scene, Alvarez performed a sexual act on him without his consent. Ebeling filed a police report in September and has involved the Screen Actors Guild in his complaint.
Ebeling recalls the scene in question where Alvarez’s character was scripted to ask for oral sex. However, Ebeling alleges that Alvarez went beyond the script. He described feeling immobilized and unsure of how to respond, stating, “I am assuming nobody on set knows what’s going on under the comforter, and I’m just frozen.”
Alvarez, through his lawyer, Michael J. Kump, contests these allegations, stating that any interaction with Ebeling was consensual, back then due to their ongoing sexual relationship. Alvarez’s legal team argues that Ebeling verbally consented before the scene, contradicting Ebeling’s claims.
A spokesperson for Alvarez further stated that Ebeling had acknowledged the consensual nature of their interactions in a 2018 recording. They have criticized the publication that reported the allegations for disregarding evidence that speaks to Ebeling’s credibility.
Amidst this, Ebeling had hinted at his experience through social media, where he likened his past with Alvarez to a narrative of coercion and assault from a well-known series.
The situation remains complicated, with Alvarez considering legal measures to address what he describes as false claims spread by Ebeling.
As the allegations against Brian Jordan Alvarez unfold, the entertainment community watches closely. With both parties standing firm in their recollections, the truth remains a matter for further investigation. The saga serves as a poignant reminder of the complexities behind the scenes of the film and television industry.
