Nature enthusiasts at heart, the couple found Dresden’s green spaces and proximity to nature a significant draw. Unlike the sporadic parks in Berlin, Dresden boasts extensive green areas and the serene Elbe River flowing through the city. Being just an hour away from Saxon Switzerland National Park, they now have easy access to stunning hiking and biking trails.
Berlin’s nightlife, vibrant with its world-famous techno clubs, is unmatched, yet it wasn’t quite the scene for this couple. They preferred the more relaxed, intimate nightlife that Dresden offered. Although Dresden has fewer clubs, its bars and nightlife spots perfectly match the couple’s taste for quieter nights out.
Settling in Dresden has provided the couple with a lifestyle that aligns with their preferences. They enjoy greater affordability, a peaceful environment, and access to nature, making it feel like home. The decision to move south of Berlin has proven to be a truly rewarding choice.
