34-Year-Old Driver Arrested for Suspected OVI in Montgomery County

In a recent development in Montgomery County, law enforcement officers apprehended a driver on suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence during a routine traffic stop. The incident involved Edgar Geobanny Coronel-Pasaca, aged 33, who was detained by Miami Township officers on April 19. The arrest took place at the intersection of Maue and Byers Roads shortly before 2:40 a.m., as documented in online jail records.

Throughout their investigation, officers ascertained that the driver had consumed alcohol. Tests revealed that Coronel-Pasaca’s blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit permissible by state law. Following the arrest, he was taken to the Montgomery County Jail without any further complications, as confirmed by a statement from the department on social media.

Coronel-Pasaca faces charges of operating a vehicle under the influence (OVI) and driving without a valid license. He is currently held in the Montgomery County Jail, with bail set at $9,500 for each charge. His initial court appearance is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. today.
