Aventura Police on the Hunt for Suspect Accused of Stealing Cat from Pet Store

Authorities are currently investigating a missing cat incident that occurred at a PetSmart adoption center located on Biscayne Boulevard in Aventura. The feline, described as black and white, was reportedly taken while prospective pet adopters were present in the store. This incident has been confirmed by volunteers from Furever Saved, a rescue organization that collaborates with the store to facilitate pet adoptions.

The adoption center within the store is managed by Nathalie Shein, who expressed her distress over the situation. The cat was reportedly secured in a carrier before being unlawfully removed by an unknown individual. Shein, visibly upset, emphasized her responsibility for the animal’s welfare and expressed her hope for the cat’s safe return.
