Bradenton Resident Christopher Clark Sentenced to 10 Years for Child Sexual Abuse Material in Tampa Federal Court

Tampa, FL – A Bradenton man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for crimes involving child sexual abuse material. Christopher Clark, 53, received the sentence from U.S. District Judge James S. Moody after pleading guilty to charges of receiving and possessing such material in January 2025.

The investigation began when the FBI executed a search warrant at Clark’s residence in September 2024. Authorities seized approximately 45 electronic devices, which upon review, revealed thousands of photos and videos depicting child sexual abuse.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation led the investigation, with support from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, the Bradenton Police Department, and the Sarasota Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Ross Roberts.

This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in 2006 by the Department of Justice. The project aims to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse by coordinating efforts among federal, state, and local agencies to apprehend and prosecute offenders, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
