Ex-DeKalb County Jailer Faces Charges for Smuggling Contraband into Facility

A former detention officer from DeKalb County is facing serious allegations of attempting to introduce contraband into the jail. Authorities have confirmed the arrest of Tony Alzadia Randle, aged 22, earlier this week. Randle is charged with violating his oath of office and crossing state or county guard lines with weapons, intoxicants, or drugs.

The specific nature of the contraband involved in the accusations against Randle has not been disclosed by investigators. Having joined the sheriff’s office as a detention officer in September 2024, Randle has since been released from custody on a $5,000 bond.
