A tragic motorcycle accident resulted in the death of a 22-year-old man in Jacksonville. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Sunday along Interstate 295, close to mile marker 43. According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the young man was riding a black Kawasaki ZX-6R motorcycle in the southbound lanes when he collided with the rear of a Toyota Corolla traveling in the same direction.
Despite wearing a helmet, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota, a 26-year-old woman from Jacksonville, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash continues.
