A traffic stop in Miami Beach led to the arrest of a man involved in human trafficking outside a Normandy Isle motel. The suspect, known to the victim as “First Class,” was later identified as Alexandar Jerico Brown, a 41-year-old resident of North Bay Village. At the time of his arrest, Brown was on probation for trafficking a minor. Authorities revealed that Brown had lured his latest victim to South Florida with false promises of employment as a stripper, only to coerce her into prostitution.
Miami Beach Police Department’s human trafficking detectives were conducting surveillance at the International Inn, a location known for prostitution and drug activity, when they observed a man in a black Mercedes dropping off a woman at the motel. Following the incident, police pulled over the vehicle and apprehended Brown, who was found to be driving without a valid license and in possession of marijuana.
Officers proceeded to the motel room where they spoke to the woman involved. Initially, she denied any knowledge of Brown. However, police found messages on Brown’s phone indicating her awareness of his identity, leading her to admit she knew him. The victim disclosed that she had met Brown through his “Imdabiggest16” Instagram account, and he had arranged for her to travel to Miami under the guise of securing employment at a strip club.
Upon arriving in Miami, the woman expected to stay at Brown’s apartment but was instead directed to the International Inn. There, she was informed of the necessity to engage in prostitution to pay a $10,000 fee to Brown. Police reported that Brown instructed her on creating online advertisements for prostitution and how to promote them. The victim expressed that her participation was not voluntary, as Brown had threatened her with physical harm. She expressed fear of violence if she did not comply with his demands.
After learning of Brown’s arrest, the victim reportedly became distressed, revealing that she was left stranded as he had possession of all her money. Brown now faces serious charges, including felony human trafficking and prostitution. He is currently held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
