In an ongoing investigation in South Webster, authorities have uncovered several pieces of evidence, including a bullet and possible human remains, from a well. Multiple law enforcement agencies are involved in the search for individuals reported missing from various counties.
Early in April, agents from the Southern Ohio Organized and Major Crimes Task Force responded to information suggesting a potential location for three missing persons in the Pine Creek Road area. They commenced excavation efforts on April 2, focusing on a specific well. Severe weather conditions temporarily halted operations, but excavation resumed on April 14.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is set to examine the recovered items for signs of human remains. Meanwhile, the multi-agency investigation continues in the Pine Creek vicinity as the Task Force collaborates with other law enforcement bodies in the effort.
