Tampa, FL – A Kosovo national has been extradited to the United States to face charges related to a cybercrime operation. Liridon Masurica, 33, from Gjilan, Kosovo, also known by the alias “@blackdb,” is accused of leading an online criminal marketplace called BlackDB.cc. This platform, operational since 2018, allegedly sold compromised account credentials, credit card information, and other personal data primarily targeting individuals in the United States, including those in Florida.
Masurica faces one count of conspiracy to commit access device fraud and five counts of fraudulent use of 15 or more unauthorized access devices. If found guilty on all charges, he could be sentenced to a maximum of 55 years in federal prison.
Authorities in Kosovo detained Masurica on December 12, 2024. He was extradited to the United States on May 9, 2025, under the extradition treaty between the two nations. On May 12, 2025, Masurica made his initial appearance in federal court in Tampa, where he was ordered to remain in custody pending trial.
The indictment alleges that BlackDB.cc facilitated various illegal activities, including tax fraud, credit card fraud, and identity theft, by selling sensitive information to cybercriminals.
The investigation was spearheaded by the FBI in collaboration with the Kosovo Police’s Cybercrime Investigation Directorate. The FBI’s Legal Attaché Office in Sofia, Bulgaria, and the Department of Justice’s Office of International Affairs played crucial roles in securing Masurica’s arrest and extradition. The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo also provided significant assistance in the case.
Masurica is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The case will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Carlton C. Gammons.
