A bank robbery suspect and two additional individuals were taken into custody in a bank parking lot in Lincolnton on Thursday. Authorities from the Lincolnton Police Department responded to an incident at People’s Bank on East Main Street at approximately 1:20 p.m.
The area remained under police activity for some time, with law enforcement advising local residents to be alert for an older white male, described as wearing a jacket and pants and operating a white or silver pickup truck.
During the investigation, officers apprehended two men in the bank’s parking lot, unrelated to the robbery. These individuals were found to have outstanding felony warrants and were immediately detained by the police.
Later that evening, at around 8:30 p.m., authorities successfully arrested Bryan Keith Flowers, the suspect in the bank robbery. He faces charges of common robbery and felony possession of stolen goods. Additional charges may be forthcoming from the FBI and the U.S. Probation Office.
