Man Convicted of Fatally Shooting Victim Outside Local Bar

A man has been convicted of murder following a fatal shooting outside a bar last year. The Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that Deniro Barker was found guilty on charges including murder, felonious assault, and possession of weapons under disability.

The incident occurred in March 2024 at Partner’s, located near Shroyer and Patterson. After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene before police arrived. The victim, Aaron Tigner, was transported to a hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

In a month-long investigation, police apprehended Barker. During the trial, Detective Angela Woodie from the Dayton Homicide Unit presented evidence to the jury, including videos, photographs, and witness testimonies. The evidence pointed to Barker as the perpetrator.

It was revealed that Barker owned a Silver Audi and resided at an address nearby the crime scene. Prosecutors presented several videos from local businesses depicting what they alleged to be Barker’s vehicle repeatedly visiting the bar moments before the shooting occurred.

The court has yet to announce a sentencing date for Barker.
