Oakland Park Animal Rescue Aims to Find ‘Furever’ Homes for Pets of All Sizes

A heartwarming scene unfolded at Animal Aid, a non-profit rescue based in Oakland Park, as Stella, a black and white mixed-breed dog, welcomed visitors with her affectionate nature. Despite her sweet temperament, Stella faces significant hurdles in her quest to find a permanent home. Many South Florida condominiums impose breed and size restrictions, making it challenging for larger dogs like Stella to be adopted.

Stella is not alone in her wait for a family. Daisy, a young 3-month-old schnauzer mix, also seeks a loving environment where she can mature and flourish.

Animal Aid, situated at 571 NE 44th St., operates as a 501(c)(3) rescue organization. The group actively encourages the community to participate in adoption, fostering, or supporting initiatives aimed at reducing pet homelessness.

For those interested in adopting or making a donation, further information is available by calling 754-223-5378.
