Ohio Resident Passes Away Following Sedation at Dental Procedure

An incident involving a dental procedure has resulted in the tragic death of a 62-year-old Ohio man in Indiana. Larry Lewis, a resident of Haviland, Ohio, experienced cardiopulmonary arrest while under sedation during a dental procedure on March 13. Despite efforts by staff to resuscitate him until emergency medical services arrived, Lewis’s condition worsened, leading to his hospitalization.

After being transferred to hospice care on March 25, Lewis passed away the following day. The Allen County Coroner’s Office has reported that the cause and manner of his death remain under investigation. This case is currently being examined by the Indiana Attorney General’s Office, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
